A presentation about flood risk management in Upper Austria
From 30 May to 02 June 2016, Lucerne was the venue of the 13th Congress of INTERPRAEVENT in Switzerland.
The topic ‘Living with Natural Risks’ fits perfectly with our competences ‘risk management’ and ‘disaster reduction’.
However, we were not only represented as guests in Lucerne. On 31 January 2016, Raimund Heidrich set a highly respected ending point with his professional presentation on “Applied Flood Risk Management in the Machland North, Upper Austria” after the second day of the event.
The cross-institutional, interdisciplinary cooperation by the operator of the flood protection system, authorities of different levels, operational organizations and other key players has encountered great interest among the international audience. This should not abate during the following days when introducing further lectures, during the study courses and also not in the final statements.
