About 100 years ago, the ringendorfer stream was rebuilt into a straight ditch. Swamps were dewatered so farmers were able to gain good fields.
Along 500 meters, the stream regained its twisted form and habitat was created for animals and plants. The hollows save water from floods and transfer it slowly.
People living nearby can relax in the new landscape. RIOCOM planned the renaturation and the local construction supervision.
